A Little About Mrs. Patricia Smith
1. What do you like about teaching at St. Alexander?
There is a very strong sense of community among students, parents and faculty here. It is such a pleasure to work with teachers who are so dedicated to excellence at every level.
2. Why have you chosen to teach in the Catholic Schools?
My education, through high school, was in Catholic schools. I appreciate the values that I was taught and the compassion that was modeled. I am grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of that same process.
3. Favorite teaching moment?
It is impossible to single out a moment. To see a child grow in ability and confidence over time is rewarding in so many ways.
4. When did you know that you wanted to be a teacher?
I come from a family of teachers and I always thought I would be a teacher. Then the compassion and understanding of some of my best teachers led me to the counseling field.
