A Little About Mrs. Donna Plocharczyk

1. What do you like about teaching at St. Alexander?

What I like about teaching at St. Alexander school is the wonderful friendly people I have met. First of all, I have been very pleased with all of the principals I have had the pleasure of working for. They have been extremely supportive and caring. Then there is the outstanding faculty and staff I have worked with. They are the best! Last but not least, I have enjoyed getting to know the students and their families. They are a joy to know!

2. Why have you chosen to teach in the Catholic Schools?

It has always been a dream of mine to teach in a Catholic School since I was in third grade. I grew up in Catholic Schools and have been extremely proud! The biggest reason I would give is the never-ending dedication these schools have toward the highest quality of learning, especially learning about God and His way of life!

3. Favorite teaching moment?

My favorite moment was two years ago when I told my third graders then that I would be moving up with them to fourth grade. The positive reaction I received from students and their parents was something I would never forget! Teachers seldom know if they are making a difference, at that moment I knew I had!

4. When did you know that you wanted to be a teacher?

I realized my dream to be a teacher when I was in third grade. I had an AWESOME teacher at the time, Mrs. Kaufman. She influenced me the most to wanting to become a Catholic School Teacher. I kept my dream alive!
