A Little About Mrs. Linda LopinaMrs. Linda Lopina's Teacher Web Page
1. What do you like about teaching at St. Alexander?
I enjoy teaching at St. Alexander because of the great staff--we truly are a family. I also appreciate the cooperation and support of the families who work with us.
2. Why have you chosen to teach in the Catholic Schools?
My faith is very important to me. I value being able to share it throughout the day in the atmosphere of the Catholic school.
3. Favorite teaching moment?
I have many favorite teaching moments. Some that stick out in my mind are Literature Lovers' Luncheons where the students never cease to amaze me with their insights into the literature we're discussing. I enjoy hearing students at the beginning of the year say, "We're doing an opera! Oh, no!" and then when we've finished our opera unit, they want to know if we can do another! I love when we do our prayer services in class and I see how compassionate the children are in their intentions.
4. When did you know that you wanted to be a teacher?
It seems I always wanted to be a teacher. If you talk to my brothers, sister, and cousins, they'd be happy to tell you that whenever we were together as children I always made them play school, but I wouldn't let any of them take a turn at being the teacher. That was always my role. Being the oldest does have its privileges!
